Common questions

Is this the same as China’s 240-hour visa-free transit?
No. The 240-hour transit policy has separate requirements, including an onward journey to another country or region. Check 240-hour transit.
Is my passport country enough to qualify?

No. Your passport must be an ordinary passport, and your travel purpose, dates and length of stay must also fit the rules.

What happens if my trip is after the policy expiry date?

We cannot assume a policy will be extended. If the published rules do not cover your dates, check the latest official notice before you travel.
